Chapter 396 - 333: 567

"You don’t attack others in this country unless in the dungeons so calm down cat, also let go of her Yui, she’s with Saem," Aurianna stated coldly and Yui threw Candy to the floor, who then coughed heavily as she gasped for breath.

Saem immediately rushed toward Candy, catching her as she collapsed to her knees.

Candy pointed a shaking finger at Aurianna.

Her voice cracked.

"You two are from Sandeph right? Huh isn’t it princess Aurianna Vanluad. You were the one who wiped out the Infinite Nation’s army. And after that they slaughtered my people and sold them to slavery it was all your fault. How dare you?!" Candy asked with tears in her eyes as Saem helped her up.

Aurianna stared at her silently, her expression unreadable.

Candy then pointed her finger toward Yui, anger rising again. "And who is that woman to you?!" Candy asked.

"My maid, why?" Aurianna asked with a cold look.

Candy’s rage exploded.

"Your maid slaughtered my people and enslaved the rest!" Candy yelled angrily. "Even though I managed to save some due to your help, many others died! If I knew if I knew...." she cried.

The air felt heavier as her sobs grew louder.

Yui blinked once, then spoke in a disturbingly cheerful tone. "You can’t blame me though I was only following orders of the king. I had to stay alive to meet my master again. If I had refused my superior’s orders I would certainly be skinned alive and have my organs harvested and passed down to someone else."

Candy scoffed, her voice shaking. "That’s ridiculous. No one would do that."

Aurianna shook her head.

"She’s telling the truth. Even if I didn’t help kill the Infinite Nation’s army my father would have handled everything on his own. And if you’re wondering about the army, they are still alive as well as Queen Shiba," Aurianna stated calmly.

Candy’s breath hitched.

"They are alive?!" Candy gasped in shock.

Aurianna nodded.

"If you don’t believe me I’ll let someone take you to them," Aurianna stated.

Candy suddenly grabbed Saem’s clothes.

"Is there someone named Henry Bertfeild??" Candy asked frantically.

Aurianna didn’t hesitate.

"Yeah there is," Aurianna said calmly

Avriel blinked.

"How do you know?" Avriel asked confused.

"Everyone who bears my mark their names are imprinted in my mind and I can see them from anywhere. But it becomes such a pain so I barely use that skill unless necessary," Aurianna explained calmly.

Candy sniffed, shoulders shaking.

"Brother I’m glad," Candy stated with a smile. "Sorry for my outburst and I still haven’t forgiven her!" She added glaring at Yui.

Yui didn’t look offended.

"I don’t really care much. Master, let’s go to the Ruin already!" Yui exclaimed.

Aurianna sighed.

"Alright, but sir are we walking all the way there or getting a means of transportation?" Aurianna asked looking at Alfred.

Alfred turned and pointed toward a carriage.

"We would all be taking that one there," he stated pointing to a very long carriage that resembled a bus and was being pulled by several droles.

He raised his voice.

"We better hurry up, they will be leaving soon and don’t worry I’ll pay for everyone’s ride," Alfred stated, "So follow me students!"

"Well bye Saem and Candy and make sure you do your assigned jobs alright," Aurianna stated with a smile before skipping off.

Saem let out a defeated breath.

"Hah it’s gonna be a long day," Saem sighed.

The carriage ride was long and filled with murmurs as the students stared out the windows at the passing scenery. And two hours later, they finally reached their destination.

Aurianna leaned back.

"I assumed it would be further away," Aurianna stated

Zeche shrugged.

"Well better than us waiting a few more hours to get there," Zeche stated calmly

The carriage stopped. Everyone stepped out.

Before them stood a massive dark blue tower, covered in glowing runes and rotating magic circles. The town surrounding the Ruin bustled with life, merchants shouting, adventurers preparing to enter it while others left church buildings with a defeated look, and mages offering protective charms.

Luera showed her badge, and the gatekeeper immediately switched from a bored expression to a more respectful one and allowed them in.

Alfred turned to the group. As they had reached the front of the Ruin.

"Are you guys ready?" Alfred asked as they stood before the Ruin gates. It was also filled with many other people as well

"Yes!" All the students stated loudly

"Alright then it seems we came on time the Ruin would open in 20 minutes! So get your weapons ready, if you have space rings, store your bags inside if not give them to Draek to keep for you," Alfred instructed.

Aurianna heard Hadina’s telepathic voice.

"Master, should I call Boara?" Hadina asked telepathically

"Better not. She should stay and protect the church in case anything happens," Aurianna answered.

A loud shout echoed across the place.

"The Ruin is finally opening!" someone yelled.

The doors opened. Panic and excitement mixed as crowds rushed inside.

"Let’s go!" Alfred yelled walking forward and the students closely followed behind him as well.

Around 150 people entered before the doors shut. The room lit up brightly, revealing two angels.

They spoke in unison.

"Welcome to the Aphrot Ruin, a Ruin of 100 trials once you complete all of them you’ll be able to leave. If you don’t have a second life pact, unfortunately if you die here you won’t be revived. You can only leave this Ruin by dying. Amongst the 100 trials there are only 50 heroes in this Ruin.....," But before they finished speaking, two dragon-like tails shot forward, piercing straight through their bodies surprising everyone and the angels themselves.

Screams erupted from the crowd.

The angels were yanked backward, sucked into a cloaked figure’s cloak where a massive dragon head appeared and devoured them whole before disappearing.

"Tch, they taste horrible. Seriously what has been up with my taste buds," a soft lady’s voice came from the thick cloak hiding her appearance.

Another cloaked person floated above.

"567 I told you it wasn’t time yet," stated a slightly boyish voice
