Chapter 551: Eagle Taming Tactics
Chapter 551: Eagle Taming Tactics
Yang Cheng clenched his teeth, swiftly swinging his fists in attack. Even with a difference in strength, he didn’t fall behind at all.
With the "Dragon and Phoenix Dance Scripture," his stamina had always been strong. He could endure a battle of this intensity for several hours, but the opponent clearly couldn’t last that long.
Now he decided to adopt the ’Hawk Strategy’; as long as he stayed focused, evading the opponent’s attacks and countering to the best of his ability, he could remain invincible. Whoever’s stamina gave out first would be the loser.
The two had been entangled in combat for over ten minutes. Yang Cheng was punched back by the scarred man, a dull pain spread across his chest, and a metallic taste rose in his throat.
"Ha ha! Kid, you’ve had enough, haven’t you? If you give up resistance, I can spare the people in the car."
The scarred man laughed haughtily, looking towards the car.
He hadn’t forgotten the two beauties in the car. If they could accompany him, life in these remote mountains wouldn’t be so lonely.
"Dream on!"
Yang Cheng gritted his teeth, continuing to gather True Qi in his palm.
The large raindrops hit his body; though they weren’t painful, they severely affected his performance. His clothes, soaked through, became cumbersome, slowing his speed.
"Turtle! Let’s see how long you can hide!"
With disdain on his face, the scarred man stomped hard on the ground, leaping into the air and tossing several poisoned darts.
Yang Cheng leaned back, kicking off the sturdy tree beside him and leaping upwards.
Bang bang!
All the darts embedded themselves into the tree trunk, impossible to remove.
Yang Cheng knew the darts were just a distraction. The real attack was coming.
He didn’t dare relax even slightly, quickly condensing True Qi in his palm to form a shield before him.
Boom——!!
A loud noise erupted, shaking the surrounding trees; leaves rustled and fell, and the nearby car shook violently.
Yang Cheng, gasping for breath, had blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. Meanwhile, the scarred man, appearing uninjured at first glance, noticed the gray stream wrapping around his hand and creeping slowly.
Normally, with Yang Cheng’s strength, he couldn’t defeat the scarred man, but the Poison Control Skill had an advantage: as long as Yang Cheng was at the Foundation Establishment Realm, he could handle any cultivator within that realm.
He was lucky, even if the scarred man had taken a Medicine Pill and borrowed someone’s power, his cultivation hadn’t reached the Golden Core Realm, so the Poison Control Skill worked.
The scarred man saw his hand being visibly corroded, the decay spreading to his arm. Startled, he immediately swung his blade, chopping down at his forearm.
The hand, along with the arm, fell to the ground and quickly disintegrated into nothingness, blood gushing from the wound, his face contorted in pain.
Seizing the opportunity, Yang Cheng charged forward, throwing punches without giving him a moment to breathe.
In the earlier bout, Yang Cheng was no match for him. But now, with him short one hand, he was at a disadvantage, getting beaten back continuously.
The scarred man panicked, his moves became erratic, doing his utmost to avoid the attacks.
Earlier, he mocked Yang Cheng as a turtle, but now he was the one in a sorry state, with a large wound on his arm and constant bleeding, it was certain he would lose.
"How... How do you know poison techniques? Who’s your master?"
The scarred man asked in terror.
Before he became a cultivator, he was concocting poisons, and later started studying poison techniques, but his poisons were not powerful.
How could this young man not only know poison techniques but execute them so powerfully?
Even at his peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm, he was no match for him.
Yang Cheng sensed his foe’s momentum weakening, and fear in his eyes grew, his punches accelerating to the point of creating afterimages, mixing in flying kicks as well.
He had never attempted such an intense level of attack before, but he had to press the advantage now; if the scarred man stopped the bleeding and recovered, he might launch a fiercer counterattack, and Yang Cheng might not be able to withstand it.
Within minutes, the scarred man, gasping for air and with a pallid face from excessive blood loss, was in dire straits.
Yang Cheng found the right moment, landing a punch on his chest.
Bam!
The scarred man’s body flew heavily to the ground, spewing a mouthful of blood.
Without giving him time to breathe, Yang Cheng quickly advanced and slashed his throat, causing a fountain of blood to dye his clothes red.
Never leave an enemy unfinished, lest they become a future threat.
Yang Cheng found this scarred man particularly sinister, not only cutting his throat but also kicking his head until it burst.
Once assured his opponent was beyond dead, he stopped, drenched as he walked over to rap on the car door.
The people inside were as tense as a bowstring ready to snap; the sudden noise startled them.
The dim light, with the windows foggy and wet from rain, made it hard for them to clearly see the fight, but they felt the battle’s intensity.
The two fought vigorously, shaking the car with their actions, the sound of blood and swinging fists jarring their nerves.
Kong Lingwen opened the car door, seeing Yang Cheng standing in the rain, covered in blood, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Are you hurt? There’s a first aid kit in the car, I’ll bandage you right away."
She quickly jumped out, supporting Yang Cheng. Her light, thin clothes got soaked, revealing her perfect silhouette.
Yang Cheng’s eyes were glued to her; her white top turned translucent, showing the lace lingerie underneath.
Seeing Kong Lingwen so worried, he smiled slightly, comforting her, "I’m fine, this isn’t my blood."
"But you look so weak; don’t hold on just because your appearance suggests otherwise. I need to check your body."
Kong Lingwen doubted he was unscathed, trying to lift his shirt, though it was too dark to see anything.
"Xiaochen, Lin Wen, I’ll drive. You two get in the back, let Big Brother sit up front."
Ni Qingyao called out, rolling down the window.
"Alright!"
Kong Lingwen responded, quickly opening the back door, helping Yang Cheng into the car.
She hurriedly took a towel to wipe the rain off Yang Cheng, pulling off his soaked shirt.
With the car lit inside, she finally saw a red mark on Yang Cheng’s chest.
"And you say you’re fine? It’s all red here."
Kong Lingwen said, feeling relieved it wasn’t too severe; any worse injury out here in the wilderness would be dire.
She looked down to rummage for medicine, then raised her head intending to apply it but noticed Yang Cheng had a nosebleed.
"Ah! You’re nosebleeding, is it an internal injury?"
Kong Lingwen exclaimed, scrambling to wipe the blood away with tissues.
"No."
Yang Cheng awkwardly scratched his head, then leaned in to whisper in her ear, "You’re just too sexy, I got a nosebleed watching."
