Chapter 1158: Don’t Play Him to Death
Chapter 1158: Don’t Play Him to Death
It’s all the same reasoning...
Some people are always greedy; the higher their position, the more they want!
"So, when are you coming back? Or should I wait for you to come back to rest?"
"No need, you go to sleep first. I’ll come back after I finish dealing with this, and if it goes smoothly, it won’t take long."
"Alright, drive safely."
"Hmm."
...
Beichen Rui arrived at the old place where Mo Han and Xu Kun were already present. Both had pulled up chairs and sat down. The glaring incandescent lamp above made their eyes hurt. Opposite them sat Beichen Li, who had been missing for several days.
Having shed his suit and tie, he looked much older. Perhaps he hadn’t been living comfortably, as his cheeks had also sunken noticeably.
Beichen Rui walked in, glanced at him coldly, then turned to Mo Han and Xu Kun, "How’s it going?"
"He won’t talk. I’m considering whether to play it rough." He said, rubbing his neck, "It’s perfect timing; the little one in my family, who hasn’t even been born yet, is giving me some trouble, and I’m feeling a bit down. My hands are itching."
He cracked his knuckles, causing a creaking sound.
Seeing this, Beichen Li’s heart tightened. There’s no way he wouldn’t know that his cousin’s right-hand men were all trained, and if a fight really broke out, his old bones wouldn’t withstand more than a few punches.
He subconsciously looked towards Beichen Rui, only to find the latter acting as if he hadn’t seen him, speaking indifferently to Mo Han, "Just don’t kill him!"
He pulled a chair, sat down with his legs crossed elegantly, in stark contrast to the room, as if settling in to watch a show.
"Don’t worry, I know the limits."
Xu Kun timely added, "Hurry up, I still want to go home and sleep. In over half a month, I have to go to the UK branch. I’ve been busy lately!"
Mo Han walked up to Beichen Li, raised a fist, and shook it in front of him, then quickly aimed for his face.
But even before getting within three feet of Beichen Li, he flinched, raising his hands to cover his face.
The expected pain didn’t arrive, but instead came Mo Han’s mocking voice, "Oh, now you’re scared? Why weren’t you earlier? You managed quite well when you ran off with the money, didn’t you? Yet here you are caught by me. Why aren’t you being cocky now, huh?"
Over the past few years, Beichen Li’s actions had become increasingly out of line, and he and Xu Kun had put up with it for a long time!
"Get away from me!"
"What if I don’t?" Mo Han retorted.
Smoothening out the slightly wrinkled clothes, he sneered coldly, "Even beating someone like you would dirty my hands. I’d advise you to be honest and suffer less. Just because I won’t beat you doesn’t mean the Hidden Guards of the Beichen Family won’t. You should know what they’re like better than I do!"
After speaking, he returned to his previous seat and sat down, waiting patiently.
Beichen Li lowered his hands and glanced nervously at the uprightly standing Hidden Guards in the room, swallowing hard without any courage.
After a moment of silence, he confessed, "I took the money and deposited it in a bank account in Singapore, planning to immigrate with my family."
He planned to go to his mother’s hometown, thinking he’d hide there for a while before leaving. But he never imagined that his cousin would guess his movements and send the Beichen Family’s Hidden Guards to track him down.
Actions become difficult with more people involved, so he let his wife take their two daughters to Singapore first.
While he himself had been hiding around Hai City for several days.
